So did I catch your attention? My devotion this morning came from the Tyndale Life Application Daily Devotion which puts my title into context with the following scripture. Act 20:24 NLT, "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God."
The point being made is that sometimes we can feel that our life is a failure unless we're getting a lot out of it: recognition, fun, money, success. This this how the world defines success. But Paul in the Bible considered life worth nothing unless he used it for God's work as quoted in the above scripture. What he put into life was far more important than what he got out. Our challenge today is to consider which is more important... what you get out of life, or what you put into it?
