There are times when I spiritually feel like a dog chasing its own tail. It has to do with the matter of my trust in God. I can often hear God speak so clearly about a matter then begin to doubt if it was really Him speaking. Yet, guess what? God comes through! Imagine that. Again the same thing... God speaks, I doubt His actions to come through, and then He proves His faithfulness. How can I find myself here again. It's like an continual cycle... or a dog chasing it's tail. I am grateful that He is gracious and patient with His children. For 40 years the Israelites too were like dog's chasing their own tail. They kept going in a circle before obtaining their promise land. They would so often loose their trust in God and look toward other things. The final result -God did bring them to the promise land. My prayer is like one found in Mark 9:24, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” - Isa. 40:8
