New Wine Time

It’s time to focus on the wine, not the wineskin. The wine represents the Holy Spirit while the wineskin represents the method to contain the wine. Basically, it’s time to drink new wine and not get worried about another method for facilitating the wine, or even understanding the wine. Too often time is robbed by the latter. God’s main concern is that we receive His wine, His Holy Spirit, His Glory. We need to take away the thoughts of trying to comprehend His work, and just be a part of it. You may ask about Mt 9:17, “Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Well, let’s take care of that right now. If you are still concerned about the wineskin as this scripture says, you know we will need the new wineskin too… the new wineskin (or rather method) is to just simply drink! Drink in the wine, drink in His Holy Spirit. Receive, soak, sit at His feet and pray in the Spirit. Let’s make sure not to get too caught up in the “hows” that we forget to drink.
