Leave Your Shoes Behind

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus3:5

What keeps us from entering the presence of God? The answer is sin. Moses was already close to God, but God could not allow him to come closer. In order for Moses to enter into God’s fullness he was required to take off his shoes. These sandles represent the “earthly” part of Moses life that he needed to give up. We need to ask ourselves if we are experiencing the fullness of His presence and if not then we need to leave our shoes behind.
