More Than A Casual Inquirer...

I want to be more than a causual inquirer of God. It is absolutely essential when seeking after spiritual matters! There is a difference in being devoted to God and being devoted to seeking God. The difference is in the seeking. Maybe you are just struggling at being devoted to Him… meaning you are doing everything in your effort to stand still and not to go backwards in your relationship with Him. Although this is to be desired, it can often lead to stagnation and leave you with no further growth in Him. Seeking implies a continual ongoing act of pursing Him. This is better! I call this God’s game of Hide & Seek. Yes, He is the inventor of the game.

Jeremiah 29:12-14 says, “”Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you‘ declares the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’” He promises us that we will find Him when we seek Him. What are you waiting for? Go get Him, He wants to be found!
